Visit-Dunga Haveli-Life Aund UPES

After Traversing and exploring the Langha Range Forests, we visited the Haveli Doonga Palace or Estate. The estate was an ancient building and historically it was significant to the person or family who had control over the valley or the hill. At the entrance, there’s a fountain welcoming the people which is unique.

Entrance of the Haveli Doonga Estate.

The condition of the building is not in a good condition as its broken-down. Civilians nearby say that this building has some historical significance. We went inside the estate and explored the old remains of this historical masterpiece.

We also found some paintings on the walls of the estate which were drawn or painted recently in these times.

These buildings were very old and the rooms inside the building were locked and can’t be opened. Even though, the building is old, the doors were very strong and hard to open.

There was actually a above the ground level structure similar to a veranda. This structure is actually maybe a part of the building. But, due to the complete tear-down of the building it seemed like a high-level plateau.

Another interesting thing about the estate is that though the building was effecter from wear and tear, the trees in and around the estate were not cut down. The surroundings of the estate are green full of trees and plants. But, some of the residents of that village who live nearby the estate undergo the process of deforestation for their rational purposes.

It was a good experience of exploring the Haveli-Doonga Estate which has a long historical Importance. It’s an interesting place to visit as it used to be the residence of the Erstwhile Head of that valley or the hill.

Thank you for reading.
